What each repair involves
Most laptop repairs are labour plus a part. We find the fault first, tell you what the part costs, and only then order it.
Laptop screen replacement
We identify the exact panel your model uses, quote it, and fit it once it arrives. If the "cracked screen" is really a failed cable or graphics fault, we find that before you buy a screen you didn't need.
Hinge repair
A hinge that creaks or resists is pulling on its mounts. Caught early it is a straightforward repair; left alone it cracks the case and can take the screen cable with it.
Battery replacement
If your laptop only runs on the charger, or the case has started to bulge, the battery is finished. A swollen battery should be replaced promptly — stop using the laptop and call us.
Won't turn on or charge
It could be the charger, the charging port, the battery or the board. We test each in order so you pay to fix the fault that is actually there, not the most expensive guess.
Onsite laptop repair, or drop it at Indooroopilly
Plenty of laptop problems — slow performance, software faults, WiFi and email issues, SSD upgrades — are fixed at your kitchen table. We come to you anywhere across Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan and Moreton Bay, with no callout or travel fee. Where a repair needs a part ordered, we diagnose onsite, quote the part, and fit it when it arrives.

- You approve any part before we order it. If the laptop isn't worth repairing, we say so and tell you what we'd buy instead.
- We fix it and it's covered — 30 days on our workmanship, and the manufacturer's warranty on parts, typically 12 months, with us handling any claim.
Worth trying before you call
Two minutes of checks can save you a repair — and whatever you notice helps us diagnose faster when you do call.
- Try a different power point and check the charger light. A failed charger looks exactly like a dead laptop.
- Hold the power button for 15–20 seconds with the charger connected, release it, then press it normally. This clears a hung power state on many models.
- Plug in an external monitor or TV. If a picture appears there, the laptop is working and the fault is the screen or its cable — useful to know before you call.
- Unplug every accessory — USB drives, docks, mice — and try again.
Stop and call us if…
- You spilled liquid on it. Power off, unplug the charger, don't charge it "to see if it still works".
- The case is bulging, the touchpad is lifting, or the lid no longer closes flat. That is a swollen battery — stop using it.
- It clicks, grinds or smells hot. Power off and leave it off.
Diagnosis is part of the first hour, so stopping early never costs you extra.
